Founded in 1995, Sparx* became known for high quality visual effects, quickly building a portfolio of over 1,000 TV commercials that have aired on five continents.
Sparx* is most well-known for co-producing Rolie Polie Oliewith Nelvana and Disney Channel and producing the fully computer-animated movie Igor.
With the release of Igor, Sparx* became the only studio in Vietnam to have released a Hollywood 3D feature film. Igor involved a team of 250 artists who created 1437 shots using 70 environments and 125 characters.
Sparx* was acquired by Virtuos in 2011. Virtuos is one of the world’s largest digital entertainment production companies with expertise in both movies and games. Today Sparx* is the movie division of Virtuos, with production resources in Saigon, Shanghai and Chengdu development centers, and offices in Paris, Vancouver and Tokyo.
